I’ve joined a new group at Flickr called Use What You Have. The premise of this group is that you have to commit for a month to not buy any more crafting supplies and only make things from what you already have on hand. Being one that likes the shopping for supplies as much (if not more than) the making, I thought it was a great challenge for me to take.
So… today I started scouring the internet for a new bag, because my current bag has begun to fall apart and it’s too small. I had started making a bag but was unhappy about the fact that I’d melted the zip on the phone pocket (see below)
I remembered that bag I had started to make whilst browsing ebay and decided I’d go and dig it out and have another look at it. Well… I kind of liked it, and as I have committed to Use What You Have for the month of April, I decided to give it a practice run in March and finish the bag.
Because I’m using what I have, and I have no D-rings, I have not added a strap to this bag yet. I want it to be adjustable and that’s going to take more brainpower than I have at the moment. Ideas anyone?
