This Union Jack Blythe doll dress has been on my mind for a while so last night I sat down to create it. My boy donated his Australian Flag which he no longer wanted after it fell off its flagpole, so I cut out the Union Jack part of it and turned it into a little mod-styled Blythe doll dress. It was really easy to make and the union jack print is the perfect size for this cute mod dress.
The reverse side of the Union Jack blythe doll dress is red cotton with a seam down the centre so that I could split it and add a press stud at the top to enable it to fit over the Blythe Doll’s oversized head.
I’m thinking of either including it with the Sgt. Peppers outfit or creating a new Mod ‘story’. Either way, Hayley looks cute modelling it.
I also got her other eye chip in last night and I think they look fab.
I bought some Mr. Super Clear, which is seriously the best paint for creating a ‘matt’ look on your Blythe Doll and another Licca pattern book from eBay last night and am looking forward to a child free weekend to make my ‘portrait of the artist as a young child’ softie for Loobylu’s Month of Softies.
