Nibble, nibble, gnaw, who is nibbling at my little house?

Well, hello again. It's been quite a while since I've written anything. I'm not really sure why that is. I think I've just been spending too much time online and out and about obsessing over shoes, makeup, clothes. I go through phases you see - and the Kindergarten craft stall sucked all my creative juices out of me and now I just want to hang out and look good for a while. I'm also not happy about my weight and so a nightly walk has been in order for the past several weeks. Sometimes I take Tippy , sometimes not. What follows is not really helping!

Gingerbread House.

Today  the boys (inc. Guy) and I put together this gingerbread house. It's from a kit I bought at Target for about $16.00 and I reckon it's pretty good value for money - considering how much a made house costs. We had fun doing it together too - a really cute pre-christmas activity. Tomorrow I make Berliner Brot - this one has hazelnuts, but I use my mum's recipe which has only almonds. I've changed it a bit too because when the boys were little they couldn't deal with big bits of nuts, so I'd use a fine almond meal instead which makes the slice really chewy and delicious. You're supposed to let it stand for a while for the spices to get to their full flavour, but it doesn't last that long at our place!

In other news, I'm no longer blonde (not that I ever posted a photo anyway) but have a red bob. I've been getting lots of 'bridget fonda in the assassin' comments (film had a different name elsewhere) and I guess that's a good thing. School's nearly over for the boys and I'm off work all summer so things are looking pretty good. I'm also awaiting my precious metal clay starter kit and just placed an order for some CZs and stuff from here . EXCITED!!!

Oh yeah, there's original Boydies for sale in my etsy shop if you're after a last minute gift idea. SOLD!
