Art & Craft

Inspired by Enid Collins. Hope to get it finished soon to hang on my walls... such a shame I'm back at work now.

Love-Me-Linda

I'm still trying to learn how to use my mac and I'm still trying to learn how to use Photoshop and I'm still practicing taking nice photos... but it's nice to learn new things, right?

In reality my ass hurts (mostly from watching DVDs, and a bit from sitting in front of the computer), but I'm glad I have some time off to do things and hopefully I will spend it wisely tomorrow... but I might just go shopping instead :-)

A photoshopped Love Me Linda doll with a snowflake border from Picnik - like it ever snows at christmas time in Australia.

You can buy a print of this at RedBubble sans snowflakes.

I don't know quite what I've been doing that's kept me away from the sewing machine for so long, but I'm sure glad I got over it.

I had a little bit of time to go to the fabric shop and collect me a couple of bits o' fabric in the hope that I could make something for Softies for Mirabel 2009, and sho 'nuff, I did!

Please meet Mirabelle. [She's a little Shy]

I haven't taken her to Pip yet... I want to enjoy the satisfaction of actually making something again a little longer.

Copies of my new collage are now available as prints from RedBubble.com.

At RedBubble you can buy them framed, mounted, laminated or as a card. If you would just like a print with none of the fancy stuff, visit my shop. Add a comment

I had really hoped to finish this image before the weekend was done, but with birthdays and everyday life getting in the way it's just short of finished...

Limerick

I quite like it, but I wonder if there's some way to age it a bit... the colours are too bright for the retro kind of look I want. i know I can mess with the digital version at Picnik or in Photoshop, but not sure how to deal with the original.

Limerick Face

That spot on her face is not her nose, but rather some fluff on my scanner... I'll rescan when she's all done. Add a comment
