I forgot to mention that this boyish Mausfrau is up at the Softies for Mirabel auction now! It's all for a great cause; I bought two crocheted robots myself which my boys will get as part of their Christmas haul. This is also the first (and probably last) Mausfrau with a tail made from a supersoft felted Country Road jumper. Get it while it's hot!

I love ArtRage (probably part 2, I think I've mentioned it before!)

I love ArtRage by you.

Sometimes all I want to do when I get home on Thursdays (my last work day for the week) is play with ArtRage and my graphics tablet... sadly this is usually about as far as I get and then I never finish what I'm doing. Still, I love even doing this much. I can paint, draw, glue glitter, airbrush, erase, have multiple layers etc and so forth, and not get a single drip of glue or paint on me. Fabulous.

Softies for Mirabel Robots

I didn't think I'd have anything ready this year for the Softies for Mirabel cause run by the lovely Meet Me at Mikes, so I bought these guys. I'm going to give them to my boys for Christmas (if you're reading this C & F, I'm not talking about you, *cough* ok...!) I did actually end up making something though...

and something else.... Mausfrau (boyish)

I hope a little (or big) someone likes them. That stripey one is made from a felted Country Road jumper and super soft (can't think of a better use for a CR jumper really... not being a Country Road kind of girl myself).

I've also been making lots of Bead Dolls, they're getting so super cute (even if I do say so myself) and I'll let those of you that have expressed an interest in them know as soon as I have some available for sale.

Lastly... if you've had problems commenting I'm sorry, but I just can't find anything wrong... I've tested it in different browsers on different computers and the only thing that might be up is that it takes a little while to actually post... I think that's because my comment spamguard is taking a bit of time to figure out if you're legit or not. So please try... and let me know if it's still not working by sending me a frustrated email.

Laughing

She's underway... will probably take longer to cook than a real live baby, but I've started my 'from scratch' pose doll.

Wanna see?

So I'm using the pattern I spoke of before, and, although I can't read japanese I have enough experience (I hope) to figure out what to do... except for the head. It says cut 2, but I'm not sure if it's 2 for the front and 2 for the back. And then there's a bit about shaping the face with wads of stuff and putting stockinette over the top... I guess I'll just have to wing it.

I've been hand sewing because I can do that in the lounge room whilst listening to the tv, but I may haul out the machine to finish her. I can't wait to dress her! And do her hair and paint her face. But it's my beloved's birthday today so I should really go and spoil him instead of myself :-/

I can't find the cord to download pictures from my camera so here's one from the archives. The design I did for our (ex) kindergarten's family fun day. 2006 I think...
